Hospitals of the University of Pennsylvania-Penn Presbyterian (Philadelphia). Cardiology, located on the Penn Presbyterian campus, is one of Penn Medicine’s premier medical programs. Penn Presbyterian created one of the first coronary care units in the U.S. The hospital is designated as a Blue Distinction Center for Cardiac Care. It was also named a top 100 hospital for cardiac care and a top 100 hospital for coronary intervention, by Healthgrades. U.S. News & World Report ranked the hospital nationally in cardiology and heart surgery for 2015-16 and also recognized the hospital as high-performing for heart failure and heart bypass surgery in its common care ratings. It also has received Magnet designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
