Alexian Brothers Medical Center (Elk Grove Village, Ill.). Alexian Brothers Heart & Vascular Institute offers a range of heart care services, including programs devoted to women’s heart health and heart valves. The heart valve program was first in Chicago’s northwestern suburbs to receive approval to independently perform transcatheter aortic valve replacements. Blue Cross Blue Shield has named Alexian Brothers Medical Center as a Blue Distinction Center+ for Cardiac Care, and U.S. News & World Report named the hospital as high-performing in heart failure in its common care ratings this year.
