Intermountain Healthcare – The Orthopedic Specialty Hospital (Murray, Utah).Intermountain Healthcare, a nonprofit 22 hospital system based in Salt Lake City, is home to The Orthopedic Specialty Hospital, which achieved the HealthInsight Quality Award for six consecutive years. The hospital also has a five-star rating from CMS and recorded 92.3 percent patient satisfaction with physician and caregiver communication in 2013. The hospital’s 24 orthopedic physicians and additional researchers are currently engaged in more than 100 individual research projects covering topics such as total joint replacement and sports-related injuries. In addition to providing surgical and non-surgical services, TOSH’s Sports Science Department offers training programs for NCAA, U.S. National and Olympic athletes.
