MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center (Baltimore).MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center’s Women’s Pavilion houses the Birthplace at MedStar Franklin Square, where more than 3,000 babies are born each year. In 2015, March of Dimes recognized the hospital for its efforts to reduce the number of non-medically indicated elective deliveries performed before 39 weeks of pregnancy to below 5 percent. Women’s Choice Award designated MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center as one of America’s best breast centers and best hospitals for obstetrics in 2017. The 378-bed nonprofit teaching hospital was also the first facility in Baltimore to earn a baby-friendly designation from Baby-Friendly USA.
