Thomas Whalen, MD. CMO of Lehigh Valley Health Network (Allentown, Pa.). Dr. Whalen is a pediatric surgical specialist and CMO of Lehigh Valley Health Network. The health system includes more than 1,340 primary care and specialty physicians, and around 750 of those physicians are employed by the health network. Lehigh Valley has eight hospitals and 40 primary and specialty clinics to deliver the most convenient care possible. Dr. Whalen was named CMO in 2011 after serving as the chair of surgery and associate CMO, overseeing obstetrics and gynecology, emergency medicine and dental care.
