Thomas Tracy Jr., MD. CMO of Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey (Pa.) Medical Center. Dr. Tracy was named CMO of Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State Medical Group in August 2016, responsible for a medical staff of 1,100-plus physicians and providers. Prior to joining Penn State, Dr. Tracy served in a variety of leadership roles at Providence, R.I.-based Brown University and Providence-based Lifespan, including CMO and senior vice president for medical affairs at Lifespan’s Miriam Hospital; he also spent time as interim senior vice president and CMO of Rhode Island Hospital. A pediatric surgeon, Dr. Tracy served as the first surgeon-in-chief of Lifespan’s Hasbro Children’s Hospital and was chair of the American College of Surgeons Advisory Council of Chairs from 2011 to 2013.
