Stephen Lockhart, MD, PhD. CMO of Sutter Health (Sacramento, Calif.). Dr. Lockhart, an anesthesiologist, brings 30-plus years of experience to his role as CMO of Sutter Health, a position he assumed in 2014. During his tenure, he designed and implemented a health equity program and health equity index across the 24-hospital health system, where he oversees a staff of around 5,000 physician members of the Sutter Medical Network. Last year, he was named to California Gov. Jerry Brown’s Advisory Committee on Precision Medicine.
