Scott Nygaard, MD. CMO of Lee Health (Fort Myers, Fla.). Dr. Nygaard joined Lee Memorial Health System in 2010 after spending time as senior vice president for corporate services at Wichita, Kan.-based Via Christi Health System. He also has experience as CMO of Appleton, Wis.-based Affinity Health System’s 230-member Affinity Medical Group. In his current role as CMO for Lee Health, Dr. Nygaard oversees the 560-provider Lee Physician Group as well as the health system’s quality and patient safety initiatives. Dr. Nygaard also oversees the system’s managed care strategy.
