Roger A. Ray, MD. Executive Vice President and Chief Physician Executive of Carolinas HealthCare System (Charlotte, N.C.). Dr. Ray oversees the Carolinas HealthCare System Medical Group, consisting of more than 2,500 physicians and providers practicing out of 500-plus locations systemwide. He is also responsible for leading the health system’s CMOs, medical education, and research and systemwide care coordination efforts as the executive vice president and chief physician executive. He joined Carolinas HealthCare System in 2007 after spending time as the chief quality officer for Clearwater, Fla.-based BayCare Health System and CMO of Clearwater-based Morton Plant Mease Healthcare.
