Robert Phillips, MD, PhD. Executive Vice President, CMO and Specialty Physician Group CEO of Houston Methodist. Dr. Phillips serves as the executive vice president and CMO of Houston Methodist as well as the president and CEO of Houston Methodist Physician Organization. A cardiologist, Dr. Phillips continues to serve as a professor of cardiology at the Houston Methodist Institute for Academic Medicine. In his current role, Dr. Phillips works with clinical and administrative leaders to promote patient safety, implement innovations in the practice of medicine, and respond to changes in the healthcare system, including new payment models. He also oversees efforts to evaluate healthcare delivery redesign and improve the patient experience.
