Jonathan B. Perlin, MD, PhD. President of Clinical Services and CMO of Hospital Corporation of America (Nashville, Tenn.). Dr. Perlin is president of clinical services and CMO of HCA, overseeing clinical services and performance improvement for the health system’s 177 hospitals and 1,000-plus outpatient facilities. He is responsible for advancing EHR, driving value through data science and advanced analytics, and improving clinical performance and patient safety benchmarks. Dr. Perlin and his team completed a study in recent years demonstrating 44 percent improvement on known best practices for blood stream infection reduction. Prior to joining HCA, Dr. Perlin served as the undersecretary for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
