James Adams, MD. Senior Vice President and CMO of Northwestern Memorial HealthCare (Chicago). As senior vice president and CMO, Dr. Adams is responsible for overseeing the medical staff and academic affairs for Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, which was ranked among the top 20 health systems on U.S. News & World Report‘s Best Hospitals Honor Roll for 2017-18. In addition to his leadership positions, Dr. Adams has served as a professor and chair of the department of emergency medicine at Northwestern Memorial HealthCare since 2000, where he aims to positively influence ethics, professionalism and communication in the healthcare setting.
