David L. Battinelli, MD. Senior Vice President and CMO of Northwell Health (Great Neck, N.Y.). In his role as senior vice president and CMO, Dr. Battinelli is responsible for overseeing all clinical, educational and operational issues related to Northwell Health’s medical and clinical affairs. He previously held a variety of other leadership positions with the 22-hospital system, including chief academic officer and senior vice president of academic affairs. A board-certified internist, Dr. Battinelli came to Northwell from Boston Medical Center, where he served as a vice chair for education and program director of the internal medicine residency program at the Boston University School of Medicine. Along with his executive roles at Northwell, Dr. Battinelli serves as the Betsy Cushing Whitney Professor of Medicine and dean of medical education at Hempstead, N.Y.-based Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.
