David B. Pryor, MD. Executive Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer of Ascension (St. Louis). As chief clinical officer of Ascension, Dr. Pryor works with 40,000-plus aligned physicians and care providers to consistently deliver quality care. Dr. Prior also provides senior leadership for the Ascension Clinical Research Initiative. His previous roles include serving as Ascension Health’s CMO and senior vice president and CIO of Minneapolis-based Allina Health System. In 2014, Dr. Pryor spearheaded a standardized practice management approach across Ascension’s 141 hospitals and 2,500 sites of care. In addition to his leadership role at Ascension, he is an associate professor of medicine for Durham, N.C.-based Duke University Medical Center and serves on the board of commissioners for The Joint Commission.
