Silver Cross Hospital (New Lenox, Ill.). Silver Cross Hospital’s birthing center contains 12 birthing suites designed for labor, delivery and recovery, along with 30 private mother-baby suites. The birthing center also features a Level 2 nursery to care for low birth weight infants, premature infants and infants on mechanical ventilators. CareChex ranked the hospital No. 9 in Illinois for women’s health for 2017. Silver Cross Hospital also received Healthgrades’ Labor and Delivery Excellence and Obstetrics Award and Gynecology Excellence Award this year.
