Medical University of South Carolina Medical Center (Charleston). Medical University of South Carolina’s Hollings Cancer Center is the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in the state. MUSC’s Hollings Cancer Center’s National Cancer Institute Community Oncology Research Program is one of 12 U.S. NCOPR sites dedicated to serving minority and underserved populations. The program aims to reduce cancer disparities and offer clinical trials to patients in underserved communities. U.S. News & World Report ranked MUSC among the top 50 cancer programs in the nation in 2017-18.
