University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center was a gift to the city of Ashland, Ohio, in 1912 from local philanthropists as a hospital where no sick person would be turned away. A nonprofit organization, the hospital reinvests income into the University Hospitals health system. University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center has 55 staffed beds and earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval.
