FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital (Pinehurst, N.C.). As the flagship of FirstHealth of the Carolinas, 402-bed FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital serves patients across a 15-county region. The nonprofit hospital first opened its doors in 1929 with 33 beds, five bassinets and 27 employees. Today, FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital includes 2,700 employees and a medical staff of 249 physicians. Truven Health Analytics named the hospital among the 100 Top Hospitals for the fifth time in 2017.
