Renown South Meadows Medical Center (Reno, Nev.). Renown South Meadows boasts the only emergency room in south Reno, and it is also the only designated level II trauma center in northern Nevada, as awarded by the American College of Surgeons. In 2012, the hospital became a Pathway to Excellence hospital. Renown South Meadows received the Patient Safety Excellence Award and the Joint Replacement Excellence Award from Healthgrades this year. Additionally, for the first time ever, Truven Health Analytics named the 76-bed hospital as one of the 100 Top Hospitals in the nation this year.
