CHI Health St. Francis (Grand Island, Neb.). St. Francis Medical Center’s history dates back to 1887 when the Sisters of Saint Francis opened a hospital in Grand Island. It has grown through the years into a regional referral center with roughly 100 physicians and more than 1,100 employees and is part of Omaha, Neb.-based CHI Health.
