Summa Health – NewHealth Collaborative (Akron, Ohio). NewHealth Collaborative launched in 2012 as an ACO within the Medicare Shared Savings Program. In December 2015, Akron-based Summa Health and Cincinnati-based Mercy Health announced they were forming a “network of networks” called Advanced Health Select, which included Summa and Mercy’s ACOs: NewHealth Collaborative and Mercy Health Select. The ACOs were the first to join Advanced Health Select and helped link more than 2,800 providers.
