The endorsed measures for perinatal and renal care include those previously endorsed by NQF and newly submitted measures for initial endorsement. Those measure sets include 12 previously endorsed and two new measures for perinatal care as well as nine previously endorsed and three new measures for renal care.

NQF has also endorsed four measures for healthcare cost and resource use. The measures — focusing on care costs associated with asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, hip/knee replacement and pneumonia — are intended to provide data on how resources are used in these areas of care.
