7 Utah hospitals with the cleanest rooms, as reported by patients

The following is a list of hospitals in Utah for which 77 percent or more of patients reported on their HCAHPS surveys that their room and bathroom were "always" clean.

Data are from July 2014 through June 2015, the most recent data available from CMS' Hospital Compare database.

For reference, Utah's average rate for patients reporting their room and bathroom were "always" clean is 74 percent, the same as the national average.

Note: Hospitals with fewer than 100 completed HCAHPS surveys were excluded from this list.

1. Valley View Medical Center (Cedar City) — 83 percent

2. Cache Valley Hospital (North Logan) — 81 percent

3. University Health Care/University Hospitals and Clinics — 78 percent

4. Sevier Valley Medical Center (Richfield) — 78 percent

5. Orem (Utah) Community Hospital — 77 percent

6. Gunnison (Utah) Valley Hospital — 77 percent

7. Bear River Valley Hospital (Tremonton) — 77 percent
