100 hospitals and health systems with great women's health programs | 2015

Becker's Hospital Review has named the following organizations to the 2015 edition of its annual list of 100 hospitals and health systems with great women's health programs.

These hospitals offer award-winning care to women in a variety of specialties, including gynecology, obstetrics, women-focused heart care and women-focused cancer care.

To develop this list, the Becker's Hospital Review editorial team selected hospitals based on national rankings and awards received from several institutions, including U.S. News & World Report national and regional rankings for gynecology, CareChex rankings for women's health care, women's health Healthgrades awards, Women's Choice Award's Best Breast Centers list and Baby-Friendly designation from Baby-Friendly USA, the accrediting body for the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative in the U.S.

Note: Hospitals cannot pay for inclusion on this list. This list is not a ranking. Organizations are presented in alphabetical order.

Abbott Northwestern Hospital (Minneapolis). Abbott Northwestern — part of Minneapolis-based Allina Health — has been serving the needs of women since the opening of Northwestern Hospital for Women and Children in 1882. Abbott Northwestern was ranked by U.S. News & World Report as one of the top 10 hospitals in the nation for gynecology for 2015-16. The hospital scored the No. 1 spot in the nation for women's health excellence in CareChex's 2016 rankings, and Women's Choice named it one of the best breast centers in America this year.

Advocate Christ Medical Center (Oak Lawn, Ill.). This nonprofit teaching institution, part of Downers Grove, Ill.-based Advocate Health Care, offers a bevy of women's health services and is home to the Advocate Christ Center for Breast Care and the Christ Women's Health Center. Christ Medical Center received Healthgrades' Women's Health Excellence Award and Gynecologic Surgery Excellence Award this year. The hospital was also ranked as one of the top 15 in the nation for women's health excellence in CareChex's 2016 rankings. In addition, Christ Medical Center was recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a top 50 hospital in the nation for gynecology for 2015-16.

Anne Arundal Medical Center (Annapolis, Md.). The Breast Center at Anne Arundal Medical Center, one of the largest in Maryland, sees more than 7,000 visits per year. This year, Women's Choice named Anne Arundal one of the best breast centers in America. The hospital is also home to The Women's Center for Pelvic Health, where a team of fellowship-trained urogynecologists, nurse practitioners and physical therapists treat all conditions related to female pelvic organs and pelvic floor issues. Anne Arundal was named one of the top 15 in the nation for women's health excellence in CareChex's 2016 rankings and also received the Gynecologic Surgery Excellence Award from Healthgrades this year.

Aspirus (Wis.) Wausau Hospital. Aspirus Wausau Hospital serves as the flagship facility for the Aspirus health system and is a leader in women's healthcare. The breast center at Aspirus Wausau Hospital's offers numerous services, including early detection and treatment of diseases of the breast. Women's Choice Award named Aspirus Wausau Hospital one of the best breast centers in America in 2015. The hospital also received several other awards for women's health services this year, including Healthgrades' Gynecologic Surgery Excellence Award, Labor and Delivery Excellence Award and Obstetrics and Gynecology Excellence Award.  

Aultman Hospital (Canton, Ohio). This 808-bed nonprofit hospital has earned a reputation for providing high-quality women's health services. Aultman Hospital, which CareChex ranked as one of the top 15 hospitals in the nation for excellence in women's health for 2016, offers reproductive gynecology, maternal-fetal medicine and genetic counseling, among other services. Aultman Hospital has also been recognized by Women's Choice Award as one of the best breast centers in America this year.

Aurora West Allis (Wis.) Medical Center. Aurora West Allis Medical Center is home to the Aurora Women's Pavilion, which includes a women's health and wellness center, a birthing center, a breast health center and the center for incontinence and pelvic floor reconstruction. Part of Milwaukee-based Aurora Health Care, the hospital received Healthgrades' Gynecologic Surgery Excellence Award, Labor and Delivery Excellence Award, and Obstetrics and Gynecology Excellence Award this year. In 2015, Aurora West Allis was also named one of the best breast centers in America by Women's Choice Award.

Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center (Sioux Falls, S.D.). Avera McKennan — part of Sioux Falls, S.D.-based Avera Health — includes the Avera Breast Center, which provides comprehensive care, education and support helped earn the hospital designation from Women's Choice Award as one of 2015 America's Best Breast Centers. The 545-bed hospital also offers gynecologic oncology, urogynecology and midlife care for women. CareChex named Avera McKennan one of the top 50 hospitals in the nation for medical excellence in women's health for 2016.

Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University (St. Louis). The Washington University Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the largest center of its kind in the Midwest, offers a complete line of medical services at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. The hospital, which U.S. News & World Report ranked as one of the top 20 in the nation for gynecology for 2015-16, also offers treatment to women who are diagnosed with possible gynecologic cancer or pre-cancerous conditions and gynecologic malignancies. The hospital offers its CenteringPregnancy program, through which women receive prenatal care in groups with women who have similar due dates.

Beaumont Hospital (Royal Oak, Mich.). Beaumont Hospital, part of Beaumont Health, was recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the top 50 hospitals in the nation for gynecology for 2015-16. The hospital is home to The Women's Urology Center, the only multidisciplinary center that is dedicated to treating female urological incontinence and pelvic pain in the Midwest. Beaumont Hospital was named one of the top 15 hospitals in the nation for excellence in women's health by CareChex for 2016. The hospital offers a comprehensive breast care program, and Women's Choice Award named Beaumont Hospital one of the best breast centers in America this year.  

Bellevue Woman's Center (Niskayuna, N.Y.). Bellevue Woman's Center, a service of Schenectady, N.Y.-based Ellis Medicine, is the region's only inpatient facility dedicated to the care of woman and infants. The hospital's OB/GYN services include breast care, surgery, gynecologic care and maternity. The center also includes the first OB/GYN hospitalist program in the region. The hospital received Healthgrades' Gynecologic Surgery Excellence Award, Labor and Delivery Excellence Award and Obstetrics and Gynecology Excellence Award in 2015.

Bethesda North Hospital (Cincinnati). As part of Cincinnati-based TriHealth, Bethesda North Hospital houses the Mary Jo Cropper Family Center for Breast Care, one of the only breast centers in the region accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers. Together, physicians at Bethesda North and another TriHealth hospital deliver over 10,000 babies every year. U.S. News & World Report named Bethesda North as high-performing in gynecology for 2015-16, and it was a Healthgrades Women's Health Excellence Award recipient in 2015. Additionally, Women's Choice Award named the hospital one of America's Best Breast Centers in 2015.

Billings (Mont.) Clinic Hospital. Billings Clinic is home to the Reger Family Center for Breast Health, which offers numerous unique services, including the Billings Clinic Breast Boutique. The boutique carries breast prostheses and surgical bras for post-mastectomy and cancer patients. Billings Clinic was named a high-performing hospital in gynecology by U.S. News & World Report for 2015-16 and has the only board-certified gynecologic oncologists in Montana and Wyoming. CareChex ranked Billings Clinic in the top 20 for women's health for 2016, and Women's Choice Award named it one of America's Best Breast Centers in 2015.

Bon Secours St. Francis Health System (Greenville, S.C.). The system's St. Francis Breast Health Center is accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers, and this past year, it earned a designation as a Center of Excellence for Minimally Invasive Gynecology Surgery by the AAGL. In addition, the system was a Healthgrades' Women's Health Excellence Award recipient in 2015. St. Francis specializes in natural family planning by offering classes in the Creighton Model Fertility Care System. The care system uses Natural Procreative Technology, which helps women become pregnant by tracking biological markers.

Brigham and Women's Hospital (Boston). For more than 180 years, Brigham and Women's Hospital and its Mary Horrigan Connors Center for Women's Health & Gender Biology have played a key role in the development of women's health. In 1832, the hospital's predecessor — the Boston Lying-In Hospital — opened as one of the first maternity hospitals in the country. From there, Brigham and Women's has seen numerous other advancements, including the first time anesthesia was administered during childbirth and the development of noninvasive fetal heart monitoring. Still a leader today, U.S. News & World Report ranked Brigham and Women's Hospital as No. 2 in the nation for gynecology for 2015-16.

Bryan Health Medical Center (Lincoln, Neb.). Bryan Health Medical Center provides specialty care in the areas of labor, delivery and baby health. Its Bryan Family Birthplace offers a modern, state-of-the-art environment for pregnant women and new mothers, including private patient rooms, whirlpool tubs and room service. The medical center also offers specific services for babies, including a Level III NICU and an Infant Apnea Center. In fact, Bryan Health Medical Center was designated as a Baby-Friendly hospital by Baby Friendly USA. Healthgrades named both of the medical center's campuses as Women's Health Excellence Award recipients in 2015.

California Pacific Medical Center (San Francisco). California Pacific Medical Center, one of the largest private, nonprofit academic medical centers in California, is an affiliate of Sutter Health. Its Women's Health Research Center strives to provide supportive care for women of all ages, ethnic backgrounds and sexual orientations. WHRC offers pregnancy and postpartum massage services, as well as massage services for cancer survivors. California Pacific Medical Center houses a Breast Health Center and a Center for Advanced Surgical Options in Gynecology as well. U.S. News & World Report listed CPMC as one of the top 50 hospitals in the nation for gynecology in 2015-16.

Carolinas Medical Center-Mercy (Charlotte, N.C.). Carolinas Medical Center-Mercy — which is part of Carolinas HealthCare System — is home to the Women's Center for Pelvic Health, the only center of its kind in the southeastern United States. It is designed exclusively for patients' advanced gynecology and urology needs, and it combines the expertise of physicians from McKay Urology and CMC Women's Institute. Carolinas Medical Center-Mercy was a 2015 Healthgrades Women's Health Excellence Award recipient, and it was designated as a Baby-Friendly hospital by Baby Friendly USA.

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (Los Angeles). Cedars-Sinai Medical Center caters to women's health through both the Women's Continence and Pelvic Health Center and the Barbra Streisand Women's Heart Center. The medical center also offers specialized maternity services. In fact, more babies are born annually at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center than at any other hospital in the state of California — which equates to nearly 7,000 women delivering per year. Cedars-Sinai received the Healthgrades' Women's Health Excellence Award this year and was ranked as one of the top 50 hospitals in the nation for gynecology by U.S. News & World Report for 2015-16.

Centura Health-Penrose-St. Francis Health Services (Colorado Springs, Colo.). The hospital houses the Center for Women's Imaging and the Penrose-St. Francis Breast Care Center, but it also offers other more unique services. These include bloom, a 12-page quarterly magazine about women's health and wellness, and the Mother Daughter Sister Friend Boutique, which sells gifts such as books, scarves and jewelry for women. The boutique also carries gifts like chemo head wraps and post-operative bras to help women through cancer treatment and recovery. The hospital received Healthgrades' 2015 Women's Health Excellence Award.

Christiana Care Hospital (Newark, Del.). Christiana Care Hospital —ranked No. 34 for gynecology in 2015-16 by U.S. News & World Report — is host to a variety of healthcare services exclusively for women, including the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute, the only facility in the region dedicated solely to breast care, diagnosis and treatment. The hospital is also home to the Center for Women's Emotional Wellness, which offers programs for women with perinatal mood disorder and perinatal anxiety. Christiana Care Hospital is the only hospital in its region to be recognized by HHS as a National Community Center of Excellence in Women's Health.

City of Hope (Duarte, Calif.). City of Hope is designated as a comprehensive cancer center and is one of the founding members of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network. It was ranked among the top 50 in the nation for gynecology in 2015-16 by U.S. News & World Report and in the top 50 for women's health excellence on CareChex's most recent list. City of Hope treats cervical cancer, endometrial/uterine cancer, ovarian cancer, diabetes and gynecologic cancers, offering minimally invasive surgery, targeted radiation regimens, fertility-preserving cancer treatment options and survivorship programs.

Cleveland Clinic. Cleveland Clinic's Ob/Gyn & Women's Health Institute offers programs and support for women of all ages. From infertility to incontinence, gynecologic cancers to menopause and more, Cleveland Clinic offers a full spectrum of general and subspecialty services for women that are among the best in the nation. It was ranked No. 3 nationally for gynecology in 2015-16 by U.S. News & World Report and named as one of Women's Choice Award's 2015 America's Best Breast Centers. The hospital boasts a breast center fully accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers, a designation given only to centers with the highest level of quality breast care.

Concord (N.H.) Hospital. Concord Hospital has five centers of excellence, one of which is for women's health services. Its center for women's health offers specialized programs for breast health, gynecological health, obstetrics, pelvic medicine, continence and sexual health, in addition to a bevy of other services for women. For its excellence in providing these services, Concord Hospital has earned a number of awards, including the Baby-Friendly designation, the 2015 Women's Health Excellence Award from Healthgrades and being named as one of Women's Choice Award's 2015 America's Best Breast Centers.

Del Sol Medical Center (El Paso, Texas). Del Sol Medical Center's Newborn and Breastfeeding Care Clinic offers private labor and delivery suites; a Level III neonatal intensive care unit; childbirth preparation, childcare and breastfeeding classes; teen pregnancy centers; and an intensive care nursery for infants with special needs. Del Sol has been recognized by Healthgrades in 2015 for gynecologic surgery excellence, labor and delivery excellence and obstetrics and gynecology excellence.

Duke University Hospital (Durham, N.C.). Duke University Hospital's obstetrics and gynecology program ranks No. 35 in nation, according to U.S. News & World Report's 2015-16 rankings. Through its OB/GYN program, Duke offers comprehensive care for women of all ages, taking an approach that makes the health and function of women's reproductive system a priority, through minimally invasive surgeries and an organ-sparing approach to other surgeries. Duke also offers fertility services, gynecological cancer treatment and a compassionate, personalized approach to care.

Emory University Hospital (Atlanta). Emory University Hospital has earned Baby-Friendly designation and is the No. 26 hospital in the nation for gynecology, according to U.S. News & World Report's 2015-16 rankings. Emory's Glenn Family Breast Center is part of the Winship Cancer Institute, which is the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in Georgia, helping Emory earn the Women's Choice Award for breast care. Emory is also known for its general women's care. It earned Healthgrades Women's Health Excellence Award for top-quality women's cardiovascular care, bone and joint health this year.

Florida Hospital Orlando. Florida Hospital Orlando has offered care for women since 1908. It was recognized nationally as one of the top 15 hospitals for gynecology for 2015-16 by U.S. News & World Report and received the Healthgrades' Labor and Delivery Excellence Award in 2015. The hospital offers an array of services for women from pre-pregnancy care and obstetrics to well-women and specialty care. The hospital puts a special emphasis on screenings and preventive medicine, offering a Women's Mobile Coach to bring preventive screening, therapeutic and wellness services directly to today's busy women.

Flushing (N.Y.) Hospital Medical Center. Flushing Hospital Medical Center is home to state-of-the-art labor, delivery and recovery suites and welcomed 2,800 babies into the community last year. It accommodates birthing mothers with "rooming in" for those who prefer the baby at the bedside and boarding opportunities for fathers. It also offers child birth preparation classes, breast feeding support, NICU parent support and sibling classes. Flushing Hospital Medical Center was recognized in 2015 with three awards from Healthgrades for gynecologic surgery excellence, labor and delivery excellence, and obstetrics and gynecology excellence.

Good Samaritan Hospital (Cincinnati). TriHealth's Good Samaritan Hospital is the oldest and largest private teaching and specialty healthcare facility in Cincinnati. The No. 48 hospital in the nation for gynecology according to U.S. News & World Report's 2015-16 rankings, Good Samaritan Hospital offers an array of specialty gynecologic services including oncology, urogynecology, physical therapy and robotic surgery. Its breast center, which offers mammograms, ultrasound, stereotactic biopsy, MRIs and cancer rehabilitation, among other services, is recognized as a Breast Cancer Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology and provides patient-focused coordinated breast care.

Heart Hospital of Austin (Texas). The Heart Hospital of Austin, part of St. David's HealthCare, offers a full range of cardiovascular and wellness services geared toward women. For its excellence in women's care, Heart Hospital of Austin was recognized by Healthgrades with three awards in 2015: the Labor and Delivery Excellence Award, the Obstetrics and Gynecology Excellence Award and the Women's Health Excellence Award recipient 2015 for superior outcomes in women's cardiovascular care, bone and joint health.

Henry Ford Wyandotte (Mich.) Hospital. Henry Ford Wyandotte is the regional leader for prenatal care and it delivers babies to more than 1,700 mothers each year. In 2015 the hospital received the Healthgrades' Women's Health Excellence Award for the third consecutive year. It was also named to CareChex' 2016 list of America's Top Quality Hospitals for Medical Excellence in Women's Health. U.S. News & World Report rated the hospital's gynecology services as high-performing in its 2015-16 rankings. Henry Ford Wyandotte offers free mammograms to the uninsured once a year through its "Yes Ma'am" program.

Hialeah (Fla.) Hospital. The Women's Health Center at Hialeah Hospital provides a comprehensive range of services, including maternity, cancer screenings, a Level II NICU, 4D ultrasounds and stereotactic or image-guided breast biopsy. The hospital has been recognized by Healthgrades for providing exceptional women's care in a variety of areas: In 2015, the hospital received Healthgrades' Gynecological Surgery Excellence Award, the Labor and Delivery Excellence Award and the Obstetrics and Gynecology Excellence Award.

Hospitals of the University of Pennsylvania-Penn Presbyterian (Philadelphia). Penn Presbyterian Medical Center has been recognized by several leading ranking systems for excellence in women's care: Women's Choice Award named the hospitals to its list of 2015 America's Best Breast Centers, and U.S. News & World Report ranked it as the No. 14 hospital in the nation for gynecology in its 2015-16 rankings. University of Pennsylvania-Penn Presbyterian also received Healthgrades' Women's Health Excellence Award in 2015. It is also a designated Baby-Friendly hospital.

Houston Methodist Hospital. The women's services at Houston Methodist Hospital include a wide variety of programs, including care for breast and gynecologic cancers, heart disease and mental health; and general wellness programs dedicated to women, which emphasize prevention, nutrition, exercise and work-life management. Houston Methodist Hospital is the No. 1 hospital in Texas and No. 45 in the nation for gynecology, according to U.S. News & World Report's 2015-16 rankings. In 2015, the hospital also received Healthgrades' Women's Health Excellence Award.

Huntington Memorial Hospital (Pasadena, Calif.). Huntington Memorial Hospital was named in the top 50 in the nation for women's health excellence in CareChex's 2016 list and received Healthgrades' Women's Health Excellence Award in 2015. The hospital's gynecology program was also named as high-performing by U.S. News & World Report in its 2015-2016 rankings. Huntington Memorial Hospital's diagnostic imaging and leading edge treatments leads to breast cancer survival outcomes on par with university medical centers and research institutes. In 2015, America's Choice Award named Huntington Memorial Hospital one of America's Best Breast Cancer Centers.

Indiana University Health University Hospital (Indianapolis). IU Health University Hospital women's health services specialize in high-risk pregnancies and gynecological cancer. It is the referral center for these services for the state of Indiana, and it is also the state's only hospital with a pediatric gynecologist. U.S. News & World Report named IU Health's gynecology services as high-performing in its 2015-16 rankings. Additionally, IU Health University Hospital was awarded Healthgrades' Women's Health Excellence Award in 2015.

Inova Fairfax Hospital (Falls Church, Va.). Inova Fairfax Hospital is home to the Inova Women's Hospital Birthing Center, one of the largest and busiest obstetrics programs in the District of Columbia metro area. Its Baby and Me Amenities Program offers mothers a private room, toiletries bag, baby t-shirt, parking passes and a meal voucher. The hospital contains a level IV NICU, and Inova Women's Hospital Fetal Care Program offers special care for pregnant women at risk of carrying a fetus with a heart defect or other abnormalities. Inova Fairfax Hospital offers the area's largest gynecology program, which was also ranked No. 30 in the nation by U.S. News & World Report in its 2015-16 rankings.

John Muir Medical Center (Walnut Creek, Calif.). John Muir Medical Center is the No. 19 hospital in the country for gynecology, according to U.S. News & World Report's 2015-16 rankings. This year, John Muir Medical Center received Healthgrades' 2015 Women's Health Excellence Award. John Muir Medical Center is recognized as a Certified Quality Breast Center of Excellence by the National Consortium of Breast Cancers and has been accredited by the American College of Surgeons as a Nationally Accredited Program of Breast Centers every consecutive year since 2010. Women's Choice Award named John Muir Medical Center to its 2015 list of America's Best Breast Centers.

Johns Hopkins Hospital (Baltimore). Johns Hopkins Hospital is ranked the No. 1 overall hospital in Maryland and No. 12 in the nation for gynecology by U.S. News & World Report in its 2015-16 rankings. Johns Hopkins Hospital houses the Women's Cardiovascular Health Center, Women's Mood Disorders Center and the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center, which offers specialized care for cervical dysplasia, breast health and ovarian cancer. The Johns Hopkins HIV Women's Health Program, which was established in 1988, has provided reproductive healthcare for nearly 3,000 HIV-infected women.

Kaiser Permanente Sacramento (Calif.) Medical Center. In 2015, Kaiser Permanente Sacramento Medical Center earned Healthgrades' Women's Health Excellence Award for offering exceptional women's healthcare services. The hospital's gynecology program is ranked No. 50 in the nation, according to U.S. News & World Report's 2015-16 rankings. It offers a broad range of services, including urogynecology, obstetrics and prenatal care, lactation consultants, minimally invasive surgery including robotic surgery and hormone replacement surgery.

Knapp Medical Center (Weslaco, Texas). Knapp Medical Center is home to three women's health patient care units: labor and delivery, nursery and postpartum. Knapp offers a four-week family birth education program and one free car seat to any family that attends a one-hour class at the medical center on car seat safety. Healthgrades gave the hospital awards for excellence in gynecologic surgery, labor and delivery, and obstetrics and gynecology in 2015. The medical center is a three-time consecutive winner of the Healthgrades Gynecologic Surgery Excellence Award.

Lancaster (Pa.) General Hospital. In 2015, Lancaster General earned numerous accolades for its women's health services, including designation from Women's Choice Award's as one of America's Best Breast Centers. The Women & Babies Hospital — which opened in 2000 as part of Lancaster General Hospital — has a staff that features leading specialists in women's healthcare, maternal-fetal medicine, anesthesiology and neonatology, pediatric cardiology and gynecologic oncology. Also this year, the Women & Babies Hospital received Healthgrades' Women's Health Excellence Award for the third consecutive year. The hospital is also a designated Baby-Friendly facility.

Lehigh Valley Hospital (Allentown, Pa.). Lehigh Valley Hospital boasts numerous fellowship-trained urogynecologists and gynecologic oncologists, eight surgeons who specialize in minimally invasive surgical techniques for women's urologic and gynecologic disorders, lactation consultants and patient and family educators. The hospital was ranked as one of the top 50 hospitals in the nation for gynecology in U.S. News & World Report's 2015-16 rankings. Lehigh Valley has also been named an America's Best Breast Center by the Women's Choice Award and a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology's Commission on Quality and Safety and the Commission on Breast Imaging.

Lutheran Medical Center (Wheat Ridge, Colo.). Patients at Lutheran Medical Center have access to a host of specialists, a Level IIIA NICU, an on-site urgent care children's hospital and many more resources. In 2015, Healthgrades gave Lutheran Medical Center its Women's Health Excellence Award for the third consecutive year, as well as its Labor and Delivery Excellence Award. Lutheran was the first Colorado hospital to earn accreditation from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers for its Breast Care Center, which is also accredited by the American College of Radiology for mammography, breast ultrasound, stereotactic biopsy and ultrasound-guided biopsy.

Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC (Pittsburgh). Magee-Womens Hospital has been caring for patients for more than a century. Its NICU — which cares for more than 1,500 seriously or critically ill babies each year — is the largest in Pennsylvania and one of the largest in the country. For 2015-16, U.S. News & World Report ranked Magee-Womens the No. 9 hospital in the country for gynecology. The hospital was also named an America's Best Breast Center by Women's Choice Award this year.

Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston). The Massachusetts General Hospital Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is the third-largest admitting service at Mass General, and boasts a faculty of more than fifty people. Mass General was ranked No. 4 in the country for gynecology by U.S. News & World Report for 2015-16 and among the top 25 hospitals for women's health excellence on CareChex's 2016 list.

Mayo Clinic (Rochester, Minn.). Mayo Clinic has women covered with major campuses in Rochester, Minn.; Jacksonville, Fla.; and Phoenix. The campuses have departments, divisions and centers dedicated to women's health, gynecologic surgery, maternal and fetal medicine, obstetrics, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, and breast conditions. Mayo Clinic in Rochester was ranked No. 1 in the country for gynecology by U.S. News & World Report in its 2015-16 rankings, and No. 2 in the country for women's health by CareChex. Mayo's Jacksonville campus received Healthgrades' Women's Health Excellence Award for the second consecutive year.

MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center (Baltimore). Women's Health Services at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center provides an array of services for women of all ages. Every patient at the hospital has access to a women's health nurse navigator to help them find the right medical advice. Franklin Square received Healthgrades' Women's Health Excellence Award for the third consecutive year in 2015, and it is one of only two hospitals in the state to achieve Baby-Friendly designation. The hospital is also one of the 2015 America's Best Breast Centers, as named by the Women's Choice Award.

Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center (Houston). Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center's dedicated women's hospital offers leading-edge care in women's health to the people of Houston and the surrounding communities. TMC is a leader in women's wellness, treatment, prevention and education. U.S. News & World Report has recognized the hospital for women's health excellence, ranking it in the top 50 nationally for gynecology in its 2015-16 rankings. TMC also received Healthgrades' Labor and Delivery Excellence Award and its Obstetrics and Gynecology Excellence Award.

Memorial Hospital West (Pembroke Pines, Fla.). Memorial Hospital West's family birthplace maternity center provides medical care, specialty services, educational programs and ongoing support to patients. Some specialty services include breast imaging, mammography education classes, health screenings, lactation services, perinatal education and support groups. The hospital also has a 20-bed level II NICU for babies who require special care. Healthgrades presented Memorial Hospital West with two awards in 2015, one for excellence in women's health and one for labor and delivery excellence.

Memorial Mission Hospital (Asheville, N.C.). Memorial Mission Hospital was named one of the top 25 hospitals in the nation for women's health excellence in CareChex's 2016 ratings. Mission Hospital is also a Healthgrades 2015 Women's Health Excellence Award winner. The hospital offers comprehensive women's health services including gynecology, urogynecology, maternity care, women's surgery and a breastfeeding center and boutique.

Memorial Regional Hospital (Hollywood, Fla.). Memorial Regional Hospital offers comprehensive women's health services including mind and body classes, educational classes, preventative screenings, support groups and more. The hospital received a 2015 Gynecologic Surgery Excellence Award, 2015 Labor and Delivery Excellence Award and 2015 Obstetrics and Gynecology Excellence Award from Healthgrades. Memorial Regional Hospital also made the CareChex America's Top Quality Hospitals 2016 list for women's health. Additionally, the hospital is a Women's Choice Award 2015 America's Best Breast Center.

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (New York City). U.S. News & World Report ranked Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center No. 5 for gynecology in the country for 2015-16. The hospital provides breast cancer care from prevention to treatment through its Evelyn H. Lauder Breast Center. Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center also offers a Female Sexual Medicine and Women's Health Program.

Morristown (N.J.) Medical Center. Morristown Medical Center is a Healthgrades 2015 Women's Health Excellence Award recipient. The hospital was also named a Women's Choice Award 2015 America's Best Breast Center. U.S. News & World Report named the hospital as high-performing in gynecology for 2015-16. Morristown Medical Center's women's health services include adolescent gynecology, maternal-fetal medicine, midlife health, gynecologic robotic surgery, infertility, gynecologic cancer and more.

Munroe Regional Medical Center (Ocala, Fla.). Munroe Regional was a winner of a Gynecologic Surgery Excellence Award, Obstetrics and Gynecology Excellence Award, Labor and Delivery Excellence Award and Women's Health Excellence Award from Healthgrades this year. Munroe Regional's Women's Center offers a broad range of care including labor and delivery, childbirth education, couplet care, lactation services and women's surgery. The Women's Center provides private rooms for new mothers and babies following delivery.

NewYork-Presbyterian University Hospital of Colombia and Cornell (New York City). U.S. News & World Report ranked the hospital No. 16 in the nation for gynecology in its 2015-16 rankings. NewYork-Presbyterian's Iris Cantor Women's Health Center offers preventative medicine, nutrition, breast cancer care, osteoporosis care, menopause treatment and infectious disease treatment. Additionally, the hospital offers extensive reproductive services through its Center for Women's Reproductive Care at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia and the Center for Reproductive Medicine and Infertility at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell.

Northern Westchester Hospital (Mount Kisco, N.Y.). Women's Choice Award named Northern Westchester Hospital a 2015 America's Best Breast Center. U.S. News & World Report ranked the hospital as No. 41 in the nation for gynecology in its 2015-16 rankings. The hospital provides comprehensive breast care through its Breast Institute, which includes a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence.

Northwest Medical Center (Margate, Fla.). Northwest Medical Center received a Gynecologic Surgery Excellence Award, Labor and Delivery Excellence Award and Obstetrics and Gynecology Excellence Award from Healthgrades in 2015. The hospital was also No. 51 in the nation for women's health excellence on CareChex's most recent ratings. Northwest Medical Center offers breast care, mammography, obstetrics, gynecology and more.

Northwestern Memorial Hospital (Chicago). Northwestern Medicine offers a wide array of obstetrics and gynecology clinical programs, such as the Clinical Genetics Program and Women's Health Physical Therapy Program. The hospital was named a Women's Choice Award 2015 America's Best Breast Center, and CareChex included it in the top 50 for women's health excellence in its most recent ratings. Additionally, U.S. News & World Report ranked the hospital No. 27 in the nation for gynecology in its 2015-16 rankings.

Overlake Hospital Medical Center (Bellevue, Wash.). Overlake is listed as No. 22 in the nation for women's health excellence in CareChex's most recent ratings. The hospital is also a Healthgrades 2015 Gynecologic Surgery Excellence Award winner. Additionally, Overlake earned a place on Women's Choice Award's 2015 America's Best Breast Centers list. The medical center provides prenatal and childbirth care through its Mom & Baby Care Center and also offers comprehensive breast health services.

Plantation (Fla.) General Hospital. Plantation General Hospital is widely recognized for its women health services. In 2015, Healthgrades gave the hospital excellence awards in gynecological surgery, labor and delivery and OB/GYN. Additionally, CareChex ranked the hospital No. 6 in the nation for women's health excellence on its most recent list. The Maternity Center at Plantation General Hospital features a Level III NICU and a lactation center to work with mothers.

Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center (Burbank, Calif.). Women's health services offered at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center include prenatal and postnatal care, maternity services, perinatology specialists and health and wellness programs. The hospital also features its Breast Health Center, which offers digital mammography and minimally invasive breast diagnostics, among other services. The American College of Radiology recognizes the Breast Health Center as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence, and it was named a Best Breast Center by Women's Choice Award. The hospital earned the Women's Health Excellence Award from Healthgrades in 2015.

Riverside Methodist Hospital (Columbus, Ohio). Physicians at Riverside Methodist Hospital treat and care for a comprehensive array of women's health concerns, including breast health, uterine fibroids, hysterectomies, menopause, osteoporosis, heart health and gynecological oncology. The Ohio Department of Health also deemed the hospital a Level III Maternity Center. Women's Choice Award named it one of America's 2015 Best Breast Centers, and CareChex ranked the hospital among the best in the nation for women's health excellence for 2016.

Roper Hospital (Charleston, S.C.). Founded in 1829, Roper Hospital was ranked the No. 4 hospital in South Carolina for 2015-16 by U.S. News & World Report. Healthgrades also gave the hospital its Women's Health Excellence Award in 2015, and Women's Choice Award named the hospital as one of its 2015 Best Breast Centers. Women's health services at Roper include pregnancy and newborn care, gynecology, breast health and women's heart health. Roper Hospital also features a Breast Care Center that is affiliated with the Levine Cancer Institute at Carolinas HealthCare System.

Rush University Medical Center (Chicago). The Rush Heart Center for Women was the first heart program in Chicago made specifically for women. A team of eight clinicians — including cardiologists, neurologists, nurse practitioners and nutritionists — collaborate to provide care. The hospital also features a Center for Women's Behavioral and Mental Health in addition to pregnancy services, gynecologic care, family planning and urogynecology and pelvic reconstructive surgery. U.S. News & World Report ranked Rush University Medical Center among the top 50 hospitals nationwide for gynecology in its 2015-16 rankings.

Scripps La Jolla (Calif.) Hospitals and Clinics. Scripps La Jolla Hospitals and Clinics is comprised of Scripps Green Hospital and Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. In 2015, Scripps Green Hospital received the Women's Health Excellence Award from Healthgrades, and Scripps Memorial Hospital was ranked the No. 10 hospital in the country for excellence in women's health by CareChex for 2016. U.S. News & World Report ranked Scripps La Jolla Hospitals and Clinics No. 14 in the country for gynecology in its latest rankings.

South Nassau Communities Hospital (Oceanside, N.Y.). This hospital features a dedicated imaging center for women called Complete Women's Imaging, which offers digital mammography, breast sonography, gynecological sonography and bone density studies, among others. South Nassau Communities Hospital also offers uterine fibroid embolization, a nonsurgical option to treat uterine fibroid tumors. Women's Choice Award named the hospital as one of the 2015 America's Best Breast Centers and, for the same year, Healthgrades honored the hospital with its Gynecological Surgery Excellence Award.

Southside Hospital (Bay Shore, N.Y.). Part of Great Neck, N.Y.-based North Shore-LIJ (soon to be Northwell Health), Southside Hospital features a women's health center of excellence which recently became one of the first to be designated as a Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology by AAGL. In 2015, Healthgrades recognized the hospital with awards in gynecological surgery excellence, labor and delivery excellence and obstetrics and gynecology excellence. A group of obstetricians, maternal-fetal specialists, infertility specialists, gynecologists, urogynecologists, pelvic reconstruction surgeons, gynecologic oncologists and more deliver care at Southside Hospital.

St. David's Medical Center (Austin, Texas). The Breast Center at St. David's Medical Center was the first facility in the area to offer digital mammography and 3D mammography. The hospital is highly decorated for clinical excellence in women's health: In 2015, St. David's Medical Center received Healthgrades' awards for labor and delivery excellence, obstetrics and gynecology excellence and women's health excellence. The hospital also features a Level III NICU and a Neonatal Transport Team and a Maternal Transport Team to transport high-risk neonates and expectant mothers to one of these ICUs if necessary.

St. Luke's Hospital (Kansas City, Mo.). In 1994, St. Luke's became the first hospital in the U.S. to open a center solely dedicated to women's heart health, the Muriel I. Kauffman Women's Heart Center. In the past 21 years, clinicians have treated more than 100,000 women in the center. The hospital also features the Ellen Hockaday Center for Women's Care, whose services include comprehensive breast screening services and specialized care for high-risk pregnancies. In its 2015-16 rankings, U.S. News & World Report ranked St. Luke's Hospital the No. 19 hospital in the country for gynecology.

St. Luke's Hospital (Chesterfield, Mo.). Founded in 1866, St. Luke's Hospital is the exclusive Spirit of Women hospital in the region, providing programming and resources improve women's health in the community. It was the only hospital in Missouri to receive a 2015 Women's Health Excellence Award from Healthgrades. Women's Choice Award named St. Luke's one of the best breast centers in the nation in 2015 and it is accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Cancer Centers.

St. Mary Medical Center (Langhorne, Pa.). In 2008, St. Mary Medical Center formed the Women's Health Associates of Bucks County in cooperation with a team of board-certified physicians specializing in women's health. The St. Mary Breast Center is certified by the Mammography Quality Standards Act, accredited for Breast MRI and as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology and is accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers. CareChex ranked the medical center among the best in the nation for women's health in its most recent list.

St. Vincent Hospital and Health Center (Indianapolis). The largest comprehensive women's healthcare facility in the state, St. Vincent's has 48 private rooms, a 75-bed Level IV NICU and opened a 12-bed neonatal continuing care unit as an extension of its existing NICU in 2014. U.S. News & World Report ranked St. Vincent No. 22 in the nation for gynecology for 2015-16 and the hospital received a Women's Health Excellence Award from Healthgrades in both 2014 and 2015. It is Magnet-recognized by for nursing excellence and was ranked among the top five hospitals in the nation for women's health in CareChex's most recent list.

Stanford (Calif.) Health Care. Ranked No. 11 in the nation for gynecology by U.S. News & World Report for 2015-16, Stanford Health Care is home to a dedicated women's cancer center for breast and gynecologic care and a women's heart health clinic focused on providing risk management and counseling in addition to diagnostic evaluation. The hospital received a 2015 Women's Health Excellence Award from Healthgrades. Stanford is Magnet-recognized for nursing excellence for nursing excellence.

Sutter Roseville (Calif.) Medical Center. Sutter Roseville Medical Center is home to the Family Birth Center, which was designed to guide mothers and families through the entire birthing process, including a dedicated antepartum testing unit and the capability to have babies room with their families from the moment of birth. Sutter Roseville's breast cancer center was included in the Women's Choice Award 2015 America's Best Breast Cancer Centers list, and the medical center is accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers.

Texas Health Harris Methodist (Fort Worth). Founded in 1930, Texas Health Harris Methodist Fort Worth is an accredited Baby-Friendly hospital was named among the 2015 America's Best Breast Centers by Women's Choice Award. Magnet-recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, CareChex ranked Texas Health among the top 50 in the nation for women's health in its most recent list. The hospital's Doris Kupferle Breast Center is accredited by the American College of Radiology and by the FDA under the Mammography Quality Standards Act.

UC San Diego Medical Center. Offering a wide range of specialized women's health departments within its Well Woman Care program, UC San Diego Medical Center was ranked among the best in the nation for gynecology for 2015-16 by U.S. News & World Report. UC San Diego is an accredited Baby-Friendly hospital and was named to the Women's Choice Award's 2015 America's Best Breast Centers list. Additionally, UCSD is Magnet-recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

UCLA Medical Center (Los Angeles). Founded in 2004, UCLA Medical Center's Iris Cantor Women's Health Center supports innovative research on a variety of women's health issues. U.S. News & World Report ranked it No. 8 in the nation for gynecology for 2015-16. The medical center has practiced total "rooming in" for the past 10 years, never separating mothers and babies from birth to discharge. Additionally, the medical center's mammography center was the first in Los Angeles to offer ultrasound, digital mammography and to be accredited by the Mammography Accreditation Program. The hospital is Magnet-recognized for nursing excellence.

UCSF Medical Center (San Francisco). Ranked No. 6 in the nation for gynecology for 2015-16 by U.S. News & World Report, the UCSF Medical Center offers more than 20 specialized treatment centers for women's health issues. UCSF researchers have also been responsible for a number of important women's health innovations, including the development of the first early-warning system for preterm labor and improvements in cancer and ovarian stimulation treatments. It is Magnet-recognized for nursing excellence by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.                      

UF Health Shands Hospital (Gainesville, Fla.). The department of obstetrics and gynecology at UF has more than 50,000 patient visits — including nearly 3,000 deliveries — across specialties like gynecologic surgery, oncology and fertility services. It is an accredited Baby-Friendly hospital and is Magnet-recognized for nursing excellence by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. In 2015, UF Health Shands received a Gynecologic Surgery Excellence Award from Healthgrades and CareChex ranked the hospital among the top 50 in the nation for women's health in its most recent list. U.S. News & World Report named UF Health Shands as high-performing for gynecology for 2015-16, and the hospital was named among the Women's Choice Award's 2015 America's Best Breast Centers.            

University Hospitals Case Medical Center (Cleveland). Affiliated with Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, this Magnet-recognized hospital was named as high-performing in gynecology by U.S. News & World Report for 2015-16. The hospital offers obstetrics and gynecology services at UH MacDonald Woman's Hospital, the state's only hospital dedicated to women's health. MacDonald was designated as Baby-Friendly in 2014 and UH Case Medical Center was named one of Women's Choice Award's 2015 America's Best Breast Centers.

University of Alabama Hospital at Birmingham (Ala.). UAB Hospital's maternal-fetal medicine program is one of the largest in the country. The hospital is one of the first in the Southeast to feature all-private NICU and continuing care nursery rooms. UAB ranked among the top in the nation for women's health excellence in CareChex's most recent ratings, and U.S. News & World Report ranked it as No. 46 in the nation for gynecology for 2015-16.

University of California Davis Medical Center (Sacramento, Calif.). UC Davis was ranked No. 38 in the nation for gynecology in U.S. News & World Report's 2015-16 rankings. The hospital includes a 22,738-square-foot birthing center where clinicians offer the option for mothers to "room in" with their new babies. UC Davis' department of obstetrics and gynecology specializes in gynecologic robotic surgery, maternal-fetal medicine, maternity services, reproductive services and gynecologic oncology.

University of Colorado Hospital (Aurora). This academic medical center, part of UCHealth, was ranked as the No. 31 hospital in the nation for gynecology in U.S. News & World Report's 2015-16 rankings. The hospital offers a comprehensive suit of women's services to treat the mind, body and spirit. The medical center specializes in breast health, women's pelvic health and surgery, pregnancy, childbirth and newborn care, infertility and reproductive care and midwifery services.

University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (Iowa City). University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinic's Women's Health Department participates in the Spirit of Women, a national coalition of hospitals and healthcare providers dedicated to educating women and families on women's health issues. The hospital is also the first and only in the U.S. offering a multidisciplinary approach to patients with uterine fibroids. In terms of awards, University of Iowa Hospitals was named among Women's Choice Award's 2015 America's Best Breast Centers, and U.S. News & World Report ranked it as No. 29 in the nation for gynecology in its 2015-16 rankings.

University of Kansas Hospital (Kansas City). University of Kansas Hospital offers a variety of programs geared toward women, including treatment for breast and gynecological cancer and labor and delivery services, including a Level III NICU for babies that need extra care. The hospital's Adelaide C. Ward Women's Heart Health Center offers a team of clinicians who focus solely on women's heart care. University of Kansas Hospital is the No. 1 hospital in the state and the No. 41 hospital in the nation for gynecology, according to U.S. News & World Report's 2015-16 rankings.

University of Michigan Health System (Ann Arbor, Mich.). The University of Michigan Von Voigtlander Women's Hospital opened on the system's C.S. Mott Children's Hospital campus in 2011. There, the system provides breast care, endometriosis, family planning, pregnancy and childbirth and reproductive services, among other women-focused programs. Labor, delivery and recovery rooms at the Women's Hospital Birth Center are between 300 to 360 square feet to allow for access to state-of-the-art care, as well as space for families to celebrate the birth of their new babies. U.S. News & World Report ranked University of Michigan Hospitals and Clinics as the No. 22 hospital in the nation for gynecology in its 2015-16 rankings.

University of North Carolina Hospitals (Chapel Hill, N.C.). UNC Hospitals comprises several hospitals, including N.C. Women's Hospital, which first opened in 2001. The hospital is the only medical center in the Triangle region that offers 24/7 in-house midwifery services. N.C. Women's Hospital is a designated Baby-Friendly hospital for its strong commitment to breastfeeding and mother-baby bonding, and it offers the nation's first and only freestanding unit for women who need inpatient care for postpartum depression. In its 2015-16 rankings, U.S. News & World Report ranked UNC Hospitals No. 25 in the nation for gynecology.

University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston). MD Anderson Cancer Center is ranked nationally both in cancer care (No. 1) and gynecology (No. 7) in U.S. News & World Report's 2015-16 rankings. The hospital's Nellie B. Connally Breast Center is one of the few breast cancer centers in the U.S. with a federally funded Specialized Program of Research Excellence program. MD Anderson also has SPORE programs for ovarian cancer and uterine cancer.

University of Virginia Medical Center (Charlottesville). UVA Medical Center offers several services specifically for women, including treatment for pelvic floor disorders, the region's only cancer program for women, uterine fibroid treatment and women's mental health services. The hospital was named one of the top 50 in the nation for women's health excellence in CareChex's 2016 ratings. Additionally, the hospital is designated as a Baby-Friendly hospital.

University of Washington Medical Center (Seattle). University of Washington Medical Center provides highly specialized medical care in the area of high-risk pregnancy and neonatal intensive care. The hospital's Maternal and Infant Care Clinic offers diabetic care in pregnancy, premature birth prevention, care for multiple gestations and hypertension in pregnancy, among other specialty care. University of Washington Medical Center was ranked No. 21 in the country by U.S. News & World Report for gynecology for 2015-16, and it is designated as a Baby-Friendly hospital by Baby Friendly USA.

University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics (Madison). U.S. News & World Report ranked University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics No. 18 in the country for gynecology for 2015-16. UW Health is home to the largest and most comprehensive team of perinatal specialists in Madison. UW Hospitals and Clinics has also been recognized for its breast center, earning a place on Women's Choice Award's list of 2015 America's Best Breast Centers. Clinicians at the hospital's breast center care for more than 600 new breast cancer patients and more than 3,000 survivors annually.

UR Medicine Strong Memorial Hospital (Rochester, N.Y.). Physicians at Strong Memorial Hospital offer a full range of routine gynecologic care, as well as procedural and technological interventions. U.S. News & World Report ranked the hospital as No. 22 in the nation for gynecology for 2015-16. Strong Memorial Hospital also earned recognition from the AAGL a Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology.

Valley Baptist Medical Center (Harlingen, Texas). Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen features 10 labor and delivery rooms and 32 postpartum rooms, as well as a NICU with 40 beds. The hospital's breast center provides comprehensive, digital mammography as a cancer prevention measure, and more comprehensive services relating to surgery and recovery. Healthgrades gave the hospital its Gynecologic Surgery Excellence Award, Labor and Delivery Excellence Award, Obstetrics and Gynecology Excellence Award and Women's Health Excellence Award in 2015.

Washington Hospital (Fremont, Calif.). Washington Hospital has a birthing center and a maternal/child education center which several classes for couples in the last trimester of pregnancy that focus on preparing for labor, childbirth techniques, the coach's role and postpartum recovery tips. Other classes that are offered focus on sibling preparation, expecting twins or more and prenatal exercise and yoga. Healthgrades gave the hospital its Women's Health Excellence Award in 2015. Washington Hospital Health System is designated as a Baby-Friendly hospital and was named one of the 2015 America's Best Breast Centers by Women's Choice Award.

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital (Dover, N.H.). Wentworth-Douglass Hospital is home to its Women & Children's Center, staffed by multiple OB/GYNs, certified nurse midwives, pediatricians, anesthesiology and lactation consultants. Wentworth-Douglass also boasts the Women's Life Imaging Center, the region's largest breast imaging and bone density center. The hospital earned Baby-Friendly designation from Baby-Friendly USA. Additionally, Healthgrades gave Wentworth-Douglass Hospital its Women's Health Excellence Award as well as the Outstanding Patient Experience Award in 2015.

Wheaton Franciscan St. Joseph Campus (Milwaukee). CareChex ranked the hospital in the top 50 in the nation for women's health excellence in its most recent rankings. The hospital has earned several Healthgrades awards for women's health, including the Labor and Delivery Excellence Award in 2015 and the Women's Health Excellence Award in 2014. This Magnet-designated hospital has a 54-bed Level III NICU and an accredited Breast Imaging Center of Excellence, as designated by the American College of Radiology.

Winthrop-University Hospital (Mineola, N.Y.). This 591-bed hospital, which holds Baby-Friendly designation from Baby-Friendly USA, offers comprehensive services for women's health. More than 5,000 babies are born annually in Winthrop's New Life Center, featuring 16 labor-delivery-recovery rooms. Those women's health services have been recognized by Healthgrades, as Winthrop-University Hospital received the Women's Health Excellence Award from the organization in 2015.

Woman's Hospital (Baton Rouge, La.). When Woman's Hospital opened in November 1968, it was one of the first women's specialty hospitals in the U.S. Now, Woman's Hospital houses the largest delivery service in Louisiana and the 17th largest in the nation, as clinicians there perform more than 8,500 births each year. It was the first hospital in the Baton Rouge area to achieve Magnet status for nursing excellence. Woman's Hospital was named as a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures in 2015.

Yale-New Haven (Conn.) Hospital. Yale-New Haven Hospital's women's health offerings, which include fetal care center, gynecological services, maternity services and a women's heart and vascular program, have been recognized nationally. For instance, YNHH was ranked No. 27 in the nation for gynecology in U.S. News & World Report's 2015-16 rankings. In terms of maternity services, YNNH holds Baby-Friendly designation from Baby Friendly USA and is home to the world's first NICU.
