US World & News Report finds best medical schools linked to top hospitals

Many of the hospitals on U.S. News & World Report's 2015-2016 Best Hospital rankings are affiliated with medical schools that rank highly for research or primary care in the 2016 Best Medical Schools rankings.

Here are the 15 hospitals on the Honor Roll and the medical schools that are affiliated with each.

1. Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston) — Harvard University (Cambridge, Mass.)
2. Mayo Clinic (Rochester, Minn.) — Mayo Medical School (Rochester, Minn.)
3. Johns Hopkins Hospital (Baltimore) tie — Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore)
3. UCLA Medical Center (Los Angeles) tie — David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA
5. Cleveland Clinic — Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland)
6. Brigham and Women's Hospital (Boston) — Harvard University (Cambridge, Mass.)
7. NewYork-Presbyterian University Hospital of Columbia and Cornell (New York City) — Columbia University (New York City), Weill Cornell Medical College (New York City)
