Employees at California's Keck Medical Strike Over Staffing Decisions

Hundreds of Los Angeles-based Keck Medical Center employees began a one-day strike today, as the employees and the hospital work to agree to a contract, according to an LA Times report.

Union employees and hospital leadership have been in contract negotiations since late last year. The employees are seeking greater say in hospital staffing decisions, according to the report. The National Labor Relations Board will hear workers' complaints in the coming weeks.

X-ray technicians, certified nursing assistants and housekeeping employees were among those striking outside the hospital.
