Judy Faulkner donates $900,000 to high school that influenced her to create Epic

Epic co-founder and CEO Judy Faulkner and her husband have donated $900,000 to Moorestown Friends School, a private school in Moorestown, N.J., from where Ms. Faulkner herself graduated in 1961.

Ms. Faulkner's gift is one of four totaling nearly $3 million that will initiate the endowment of the school's Camden Scholars Program. The scholars program provides nearly full-tuition scholarships for students with financial need, covering expenses such as lunch, books, fees, technology resources and transportation.

In a statement from the school, Ms. Faulkner attributed her time at Moorestown Friends as being foundational to her career.

"Moorestown Friends is where I learned to love math, which took me to computer science and to creating Epic," Ms. Faulkner said. "MFS also taught its students the joy of learning, strong values, curiosity, speaking up, the honor system — which helped shape my life and influenced the culture of Epic."
