1. Fred Mingo, a former navy officer, was named the deputy program executive for VistA Evolution. The project will span multiple years and cost billions of dollars, according to the report.
2. Prior to working with the VHA, Mr. Mingo was the chief technology officer of ICF International, an IT services firm.
3. VistA Evolution will focus on several points including interoperability, moving to the cloud, exchanging data with private sector systems and more, according to the report.
