1. Moody's: US nonprofit hospitals see decrease in median operating margin
U.S. nonprofit hospitals' median operating margin fell in fiscal year 2016 as expenses grew, according to preliminary financial data compiled by Moody's Investors Service.

2. Avalere: AHCA's per-capita Medicaid caps would cut funds for low-income children by $43B over 10 years
Funding for low-income children could decrease by $43 billion over the next 10 years if the Medicaid par capita caps are kept in place under the American Health Care Act and the legislation passes as is, according to new research from Avalere.

3. HFMA recognizes 17 healthcare organizations for revenue cycle performance
Four integrated delivery systems, two hospital systems, seven individual hospitals and four physician practices received the Healthcare Financial Management Association's 2017 MAP Award for High Performance in Revenue Cycle.
