For-profit hospital stock report: Week of Nov. 2-6

All five major for-profit hospital operators saw their stock prices rise last week.

Up 12.55 percent, shares of Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare Corp. rose more than any other major for-profit hospital operator.

Here is how the five operators' stock prices stacked up last week.

  • Community Health Systems (Franklin, Tenn.): $31.65 per share (up 10.94 percent).
  • Hospital Corporation of America (Nashville, Tenn.): $69.97 per share (up 1.72 percent).
  • LifePoint Health (Brentwood, Tenn.): $71.89 per share (up 4.37 percent).
  • Tenet Healthcare Corp. (Dallas): $35.34 per share (up 12.55 percent).
  • Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $125.86 per share (up 3.09 percent).
