5 hospital CFOs in the headlines

Here are five hospital and health system CFOs who were recently in the news.

1. Peter Markell, CFO and treasurer of Boston-based Partners HealthCare, was in the news discussing the system's financial results for the third quarter of fiscal year 2017.

2. Sergio Melgar, executive vice president and CFO of Worcester, Mass.-based UMass Memorial Health Care, was in the news discussing UMass Memorial's financial performance for the first nine months of this year.

3. Carthage (N.Y.) Area Hospital CFO Rob Bloom was in the news discussing how the hospital turned around its finances.

4. Vincent Pryor was in the news as he was named senior vice president and CFO of New Lenox, Ill.-based Silver Cross Hospital.
