15 Statistics on Average Hospital Executive Base Salaries

Between 2007 and 2012, the base salaries of five hospital executive positions have increased steadily, as CEOs, CFOs, COOs, CMOs and CNOs have all seen raises of more than 2.7 percent per year on average, according to a survey from Yaffe & Company (pdf), a healthcare compensation consulting firm.

Here are 15 statistics on the base salary figures for hospital CEOs, CFOs, COOs, CMOs and CNOs. Note: The survey received responses from 267 hospitals and health systems. Sixty-five percent of respondents were single-hospital systems, and 51 percent had net patient revenue between $35 million and $199 million.
