Henry Ford Innovation Institute (Detroit).The Henry Ford Innovation Institute launched as an independent scientific research and education entity in 2012. The institute’s goal is to improve healthcare processes and patient experience by providing physicians and staff with resources to commercialize their ideas into marketable products, devices and therapies. Henry Ford Innovation Institute’s resources include technology and market assessments for new inventions, engineering services for prototypes and general educational programs related to medicine and entrepreneurship. In one project, data analysis platform Zebra Medical engaged Henry Ford Health System to validate its predictive algorithm, which claims to analyze CT scans for indicators of osteoporosis.
