While 59% of Generation Z employees say their full range of skills is “underutilized” in their current roles, only 33% of executives feel the same about their entry-level staff, according to a May 15 LinkedIn News post.
Gen Zers’ belief that they have untapped potential mirrors that of the average U.S. worker, at 57%, according to LinkedIn.
LinkedIn surveyed 4,060 U.S. professionals, including those aged 18 to 27, between March 22 and April 18, and 3,045 U.S. executives from March 3 to 17.
Additionally, 68% of Gen Zers said they understand the skills they need to develop in order to advance in their career — a rate higher than that of other generations, according to LinkedIn.
