All 50 states ranked by workforce

North Carolina — America's top state for business — also has the best workforce, according to a recent ranking from CNBC

The publication released its list of the top states for business July 11, ranking each state on 10 weighted criteria from cost of living to infrastructure. This year, the workforce category carried the most weight. CNBC analyzed states' workforces by measuring their concentration of STEM workers; workers carrying college degrees, associate degrees or industry certifications; state worker training programs and right-to-work laws; net migration of educated workers; and worker productivity.
