According to Gallup’s annual health and healthcare poll, 69 percent of Americans rate their personal healthcare coverage as excellent or good, while only 32 percent rate overall healthcare coverage in the country that highly. During the past decade, Americans have consistently rated their own healthcare coverage much higher than the nation’s coverage, according to Gallup.
Furthermore, although 52 percent of Americans think the U.S. healthcare system has major problems, only one in five say it’s in a state of crisis. According to Gallup, these views haven’t shifted significantly since 2002 and are on par with the outlook in 1994, when the Clinton administration was attempting to pass comprehensive healthcare legislation.
