Oklahoma’s Norman Regional to Open Temporary Facility Following Tornado

Norman (Okla.) Regional Hospital Authority announced that a temporary hospital facility will open in Moore, Okla., in November while a permanent replacement facility for Moore Medical Center is being built, according to a report by The Moore American.

On May 20, a tornado struck Moore Medical Center destroying the building. The temporary facility will operate for two years while a permanent structure for Moore Medical is built.

The 10,880-square-foot temporary facility will include a fully functioning emergency department, a trauma room, seven fast-track rooms, an isolation room, a triage room and six treatment rooms, according to the report.
