The new Alfond Center for Health has received a gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program, and features efficient climate control systems, a tight building envelope, low-water-flow technology, LED outside lighting and high-efficiency light fixtures throughout, according to the report.
Per-square-foot utility costs are expected to be $3.27, half that of the main campuses’ costs of $7.80, according to the report.
