According to the release, this is one of 13 quality measures that hospitals that are participating in the program must submit to receive their annual payment updates for the fiscal year 2010.

On July 1, CMS will post instructions on how to submit data on QualityNet. Hospitals that do not perform cardiac surgeries will also be able to report this information on the site, according to the release.
