The study reveals an important factor as to why patients who experience cardiac arrest in hospitals during the day are more likely to survive. Leaders of the study, which was conducted by University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, believe factors such as fatigue, decreased staffing levels and lack of physician supervision influence the variability in CPR quality.
