AHA Roadmap Measures Hospitals’ Value-Based Care Performance

The American Hospital Association’s Health Research & Educational Trust and Hospitals in Pursuit of Excellence have released a guide for hospital leaders to determine their current state and progress on value-based metrics.

The guide, “Second Curve Road Map for Health Care,” includes an assessment in which leaders score their performance on metrics outlined in the report “Metrics for the Second Curve of Health Care.” The metrics are designed to help healthcare leaders measure their progress on four value-based strategies for transitioning from a fee-for-service to pay-for-performance healthcare system.
