St. Luke Health launches telemedicine program for after hours care: 3 notes

St. Luke Health Services in Oswego, N.Y., partnered with telemedicine provider Curvai Health on a program that offers its patients virtual care anytime day or night, Business Journal News Network reports.

Three notes:

1. Through the program, Curvai Health physicians can examine St. Luke’s Health patients using two-way video and digital diagnostic equipment operated by the hospital’s clinicians.  

2. The telemedicine program received funding from the Central New York Care Collaborative Innovation Fund, which aims to enhance healthcare services for Medicaid and uninsured patients.

3. The $246,000 grant will also support telemedicine programs at Oswego Health’s Manor and Morningstar Residential Care Center in Oswego, according to the report.
