The survey polled 1,501 adult U.S. residents in 2017 and 2,301 in 2018.
When asked what types of care they would like to receive virtually, the 2,301 respondents reported:
• Have an after-hours appointment: 73 percent
• Attend a class about a specific condition: 71 percent
• Have a follow-up appointment after seeing a physician or healthcare professional in person: 65 percent
• Discuss a specific health concern with a doctor or other healthcare provider: 62 percent
• Get follow-up care services at home after being hospitalized: 62 percent
• Participate in a family member’s medical appointment: 59 percent
• Have an exam for a non-urgent condition such as a rash, sore throat or sinus condition: 57 percent
• Participate in mental health group therapy/counseling: 52 percent
• Have an exam by a specialist physician for an urgent concern: 29 percent
• Have an annual physical exam: 28 percent
