The deal includes 14 return centers and approximately 800 employees, expanding DHL’s presence in the U.S. healthcare supply chain, according to a Jan. 9 news release from the company.
The acquisition enhances DHL’s ability to manage returns for healthcare products, which is increasingly important as e-commerce and direct-to-consumer models grow within the sector.
Inmar will retain its pharmaceutical reverse distribution business, while DHL will have access to Inmar’s technology-driven logistics solutions.
