4 latest FDA approvals

Here are four drugs and medical devices approved by the Food and Drug Administration this past week.

1. Siliq is an injectable drug intended to treat adults with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis

2. Medtronic’s Freezor Xtra Cryoablation Catheter can now be used to treat patients with atrioventricular nodal re-entrant tachycardia, an abnormal heart rhythm.

3. Lupin’s new cough syrup is intended to relieve cough symptoms in adults and children six years and older.

4. Boehringer Ingelheim’s asthma drug tiotropium Respimat can now be used to treat asthma patients ages six and up.
