Additional specialties ranked among the nation’s best include cancer, cardiology, heart and vascular surgery, diabetes and endocrinology, gastroenterology and GI surgery, geriatrics, and neurology and neurosurgery. The hospital also secured an “A” Leapfrog hospital safety grade for spring 2026. Recent systemwide wins include the fall 2025 opening of the $920 million D. Dan and Betty Kahn Health Care Pavilion in Ann Arbor, expanding capacity and allowing the system to transfer adult inpatients from University Hospital and Frankel Cardiovascular Center.
