St. Luke’s Boise Medical Center is a 437-bed regional acute care hospital founded in 1902 and now serving as the flagship facility of St. Luke’s Health System. The medical center has served the region for more than 120 years, and is nationally recognized for quality and patient safety, including a Magnet designation, the gold standard for nursing care. The medical center offers 24/7 emergency care, advanced inpatient and outpatient surgery, mother-baby services, diagnostics ranging from X-ray to MRI, state-of-the-art cancer treatment and critical care. Its campus also includes a range of primary and specialty physician clinics and St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital, the only children’s hospital in Idaho. U.S. News & World Report ranked St. Luke’s Boise Medical Center No. 1 in Boise and rated it high performing in rehabilitation for 2026-2027. The hospital is in the midst of The Boise Campus Development project, which includes a new nine-story hospital tower with a helipad, connected to a six-story medical office plaza, which will then connect to a parking garage. The project will provide 80 additional hospital beds, relocate all Boise-based surgical services and add seven additional operating rooms for a total of 27. The initiative aims to support growing patient needs and expand services, and will also feature unfinished spaces that can be built out into the future.
