Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center, flagship facility of Atlantic Health, has served the community for more than 130 years with advanced emergency, heart, cancer, orthopedic, pediatric and specialty care. U.S. News & World Report ranks the hospital’s cardiology and heart surgery program among the top 50 in the nation and its orthopedics program among the top 30. The medical center was also named to Newsweek‘s “World’s Best Hospitals” list for 2026. Atlantic Health has proposed a $1 billion expansion of the Morristown campus that would add roughly 700,000 square feet of new facilities. The project is intended to expand capacity, accommodate more patients and support increasingly sophisticated care as the hospital’s needs evolve. Other recent news for the system includes a 2026 partnership with health technology company Garner Health, with the goal of giving employers and their workers a data-driven tool for finding high-quality physicians at lower out-of-pocket cost.
