UnitedHealthcare’s ratings use a five-star scale and scores are compiled by Healthgrades, according to the report. Healthgrades uses a survey built from CMS’ HCAHPS, which asks patients if they would recommend the physician, if the physician explains medical conditions well, if they listen and answer questions and if they spend enough time with patients, according to the report. It also covers scheduling, office environment, staff and wait times.
However, Healthgrades does not include written comments, according to the report.
