Redington-Fairview General Hospital (Skowhegan, Maine). This independent hospital has served the residents of Somerset County since 1952. While today it has 25 beds, in the past its capacity reached as high as 92 beds. The hospital has the distinction of holding a place both on iVantage Health Analytics’ Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals list and the National Rural Health Association’s list of Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals this year. In fact, Redington-Fairview has been on iVantage’s list each year since the list started five years ago.
